Practice What You Preach

Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm.
If this were true, there wouldn't be an epidemic of U.S. homelessness and poverty.
The religious can offer a REAL refuge if they actually wanted to.
Roughly 350,000 churches exist in the U.S. If each averages 3,000 square feet, total square footage is 1.05 billion. Transition half of that space into housing and you can accommodate 2 million people in a half million 1,000sf "apartments."
This would end homelessness.
The remaining 500 million square feet can be used for worship but ALSO for job training, financial planning, drug and alcohol counseling, social services, health facilities, daycare and more. Enlist the impoverished to build their own living spaces and feel empowered again, as they deserve.
Churches receive $70 billion in annual tax breaks. Perhaps they should start earning them. Then we can start talking about miracles.
